Wyatt Voelker wins U20 Pan American title

UNI sophomore Wyatt Voelker posted a perfect 4-0 record on Thursday en route to his first U20 Pan American Greco-Roman title in the 87-kilogram weight class. 

The PWC has been busy with our guys traveling to France and Croatia for competitions.

 

Taylor Lujan went to Nice, France and wrestled in the Grand Prix de France. He had two wins over Germany and Israel, then lost to Evan Wick of the USA/ Taylor dropped to the bronze medal match and won 11-0. Overall, he finished 3-1 and got his first international medal. He knows there is more in there and continues to improve.

Nishan Randhawa of Canada/PWC went to Croatia to compete in the first men’s ranking series event of 2023, the Zagreb Open. These events give athletes seeding points for the World Championships. Nishan was able to finish in 5th place.

 

Taylor and the PWCRTC athletes will be preparing for the US Open at the end of April and Nishan will be going to Canada for the Canadian Championships in a few weeks.
